Please tell us about the Meditation on Twin Hearts.
Meditation on Twin Hearts (MTH) is one of the most powerful techniques for practitioners who seek positive transformation in their life. The full name for this meditation technique is Meditation on Twin Hearts for Peace and Illumination. Let’s understand the components of this meditation through its name.
The twin hearts refer to the centre of emotional love and divine love. These are represented by the heart centre (situated in the centre of chest) and the crown centre (located at the crown of the head.
As quoted by GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui in his book, ‘Achieving Oneness with the Higher Soul”,
‘The development of the heart has been neglected. Because of this, you may encounter a person who is quite intelligent but very abrasive. This type of person has not yet matured emotionally or has a heart chakra that is quite underdeveloped.’
A person may be intelligent but his relationship with family is very poor and does not have many friends. Twin Heart Meditations helps one become harmoniously balanced.
The main aim of this meditation is to spread love and peace not only within oneself but also across the world. Through regular and prolonged practice of this meditation, one may attain so much divine energy that one may find illumination. i.e oneness with their spiritual soul.
How can one practice THM?
THM is a guided meditation. During the course of the meditation, Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui takes you through the steps of meditation by telling you what needs to be done.
To start with the practitioners are made to think about happy moments of their life so that their emotional centre and the spiritual centre open up and become receptive. The steps that follow promote the practice of spreading love and peace in the outer world through blessing those who might be suffering.
Who all can practice THM?
Everyone above the age of 16 years can practice THM. The only exceptions are people who suffer from severe heart, kidney or liver ailments. And those suffering from high blood pressure and Glaucoma.
The best part about THM is that contrary to most meditation schools, it can be practiced at any time of the day. There are no restrictions on meditating in the morning or at night.
What are the short term and long terms benefits of THM?
The immediate effect of THM is that it promotes physical and mental health. There are thousands of people who have experienced transformation in quality of their life after continuous practice of THM. Apart from physical health, people have also experienced emotional stability. It increases ones tolerance and has a definitive positive impact on improving relationship challenges.
Inner peace achieved by practicing THM also provides clarity to handle challenges (including financial difficulties) in our life. It empowers us to take charge of our life and take steps to solve problems.

What is unique about THM?
I believe Blessing aspect of THM is very unique. I would like to quote the GrandMaster here again,
“By blessing the earth with loving kindness, you are doing a form of world service. And by blessing the earth with loving-kindness, you are in turn blessed many times. It is in blessing that you are blessed. It is in giving that you receive. This is the law.”
Through the guided monologue during the meditation, the master asks us to bless every pain and injury at physical and emotional level. And then it guides you into meditating on a point and the sound of ‘OM’ and the time gap in between. The idea is to meditate on both awareness and stillness.
What are your thoughts on benefits of THM for better parenting?
The benefits of THM can be extended to parenting problems such as fear, insecurity, understanding issues and fear of the unknown.
Practicing THM helps parents specifically mothers to not lose patience in times of difficulty and take charge of a situation to solve the problem or live through it bravely. I would like to bring in two case studies of two of our Pranic Healing practitioners with regards to how THM helped them with the parenting challenges.

The first time I did THM I was very surprised at the simplicity of it all – this Meditation seemed so different from the rest I had been doing. It was pure blessings which in itself filled me with peace and joy. That I feel is the essential ingredient in THM – it has introduced me to the powerful technique of blessing. Specially as a mother it has helped me to attract the right energies into my children’s lives.
I have always been very stressed about multi tasking and managing the various demands of two growing children along with my responsibilities at home. Regular practice of THM has helped me attain my peace and calm and has enabled me to manage all this in a smooth manner without too much of stress. I feel I now I have better clarity in thinking – some years ago I used to put every small thing as an important aspect in one’s life and pressurize the children. Now I have better intuition and can let go of unimportant matters easily giving a lot of breathing space to my children.
I was also told that over a period of time regular practice of THM would help develop your auras and chakras and help your healings become powerful too, which was difficult to believe. However after some months of practice of THM I could find my innate healing abilities becoming powerful. With small children I used to feel helpless and stressed in medical conditions when the doctor was not immediately available. With Pranic Healing and THM I was no more feeling helpless, in fact I felt empowered to not just help myself and my children but also support my other family members and their children in various medical situations.
