It was after my second pregnancy when I set out to lose my baby fat, I came across this concept called Infused Water. When I tried it out I realized that among other benefits, the best thing about infused water is that it makes your water a tad more tasty without actually loading it with strong flavors. I have always been a heavy drinker (water I mean!). The only water drinking goal that I have been able to meet is the morning time just after waking up.
Drinking water first thing in the morning helps lose weight
And imagine the incentive of having flavor infused water that is also rich in nutrients. Oh well that’s not the only benefit. There are several other benefits of infused water. For moms especially, infused water can do wonders with respect to –
- Weight Loss
- Acne / Glowing Skin
- Improved Metabolism
Various combinations of fruits and vegetables can be used to make infused water that is rich in minerals and vitamins that help deal with the above mentioned issues that new mothers have to fight. But wait a minute! That’s not all, where the benefits of infused water are concerned.
During the summer season, mothers have a tough time ensuring that their kids are hydrated enough. Kids are often reluctant to have too much of the plain liquid and sweetened liquids can be given only in limited quantities. In such a case, infused water with its subtle refreshing flavors comes as a blessing. Apart from keeping them hydrated, the nutrients that are infused have some more benefits for the kids –
- Refreshing and Boosts Energy
- Improves Immunity
How to Preparation Infused Water
In a 1 lt. of water, add approximately 1 – 1.5 cups of the combination of sliced fruits or vegetables and keep it in the refrigerator overnight.
Incase you wish to have your infused water on the go, add ice cubes to the preparation and you are set to rock.
The veggies and fruits may be reused for upto 3 times to prepare infused water in the same jar.
