Book Review – One-Minute Super Dad Magic Moments to Raise Amazing Children

In the vast collection of books that talk about parenting mostly from a mother’s perspective, book like One Minute Super Dad … come as a pleasant change.  But having read the book, I could say that though this is a book written by a father with real life situations and lessons derived from his experiences, this book is a must read for every parent (irrespective of the gender) who have limited time in hand to spend with their kids.

The author has very diligently worked out simple steps to effective parenting calling them One Minute Magic tricks. This he says are piqued against the One- Minute Grenades that could diffuse the potential magic.

I specifically liked the way the author has presented his personal research points forming the theory behind parenting behavior and created a very specific list of One-Minute Magic Tools which are very reasonable as well as practical.

The best part about this parenting help book is that it shows the father role in an extremely sensitive context. Yes this father talks about good fairies, music, pretend play and much more.

And all this he backs up with some real life stories from DADs across the world. These heart-warming magical stories reinstate your belief in yourself as a parent and help you up your parenting skills.

  1. I am a father to a 12-year-old girl and I remember the times when she was 3 and I used to give her rides on my back. I had to plonk on the ground on all fours and she would sit on my back and pretend I was an elephant since I was pretty plump. This book seems to be about how to inspire your children to think better. Definitely, something I would like to read sometime.

  2. Seems like an interesting book on parenting by dads. Would like to read about One Minute Magic Tricks and Grenades as well as One-Minute Magic Tools. Thanks for sharing your review, Anupriya.

  3. Just like women fight for equality in the workplace, so do fathers in the lives of their children. Nice to see there are books like this to help them!
